UNION, N.J. – Shenandoah University completed its participation in the Kean University Tournament Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 non-league women's soccer loss to the host Cougars.
Shelby Pedersen had the lone goal of the game, tallying for Kean (2-0) on a breakaway in the 43rd minute.
Shenandoah (0-2) had six of its nine shots on goal in the second half – five attempts were on goal and senior Sarah Hensley hit a rocket in the 84thminute that went off the crossbar.
Nichole Pratt had two saves in her first collegiate start.
SU hosts Catholic on Tuesday at 7:00 in a non-league contest.
