OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Shenandoah University earned its fifth field hockey victory of the season with a 2-0 non-conference victory over Stevenson University Saturday night.
Senior Sarah DeLuca scored both goals for the Hornets (5-2) in the win over Stevenson (2-3).
DeLuca scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 24th minute on a deflection before adding an insurance tally in the 62nd minute.
DeLuca's two shots were two of just seven that the squad had on the night.
The Mustangs had 18 shots of their own and owned a 17-6 advantage in penalty corners, but Hornets keeper Sarah Clare had six saves to help the team post its second straight shutout.
Shenandoah hosts York (Pa.) on Tuesday night at 7:00.
