VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Shenandoah University matched its men's soccer win total from 2011 by shutting out Marymount University 3-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets (2-3) got all of the offense they would need on a John Peterman goal in the 26th minute.

Peterman then helped SU pull away from the Saints (1-2-1) with another unassisted goal, this one just 20 seconds into the second half.

Eduardo Santiago closed the book on the day's scoring with his unassisted goal at 69:46.

Marymount outshot Shenandoah 23-10, but Hornets keeper James Dutcher continued his outstanding week with a 12-save shutout.

In two games at the Virginia Wesleyan Tournament this weekend, Dutcher made 29 saves.

MU also had all four corner kicks awarded on the night.

SU travels to Hood on Tuesday afternoon.
