WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Bridgewater College made a pair of first half goals stand up in a 2-0 ODAC men's soccer victory over Shenandoah Wednesday evening.
The Eagles (6-5-3, 3-2-2 ODAC) scored in the 27th and 45th minutes to down SU (0-14, 0-7).
Ben Lewis had both of those goals for the victors with Kevin Gidari assisting on the game-winner and Alec Utter the insurance goal.
Shenandoah had five of its eight shots in the second half, but was unable to cut into the deficit.
Bridgewater outshot SU 14-8 for the game and took two of the game's three corners. Neither team had a corner kick in the second half.
Rodrigo Casteriana made seven saves for the hosts.
The Hornets return to action on Saturday night with a 7 p.m. homecoming night contest against league-leading Randolph.
