Volleyball Shocks Washington Adventist

WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University volleyball team completed its home slate Tuesday evening with a dominating 3-0 sweep of DII Washington Adventist.

Shenandoah (15-14) won at 5, 4 and 10 over the Shock (3-19) and needing just 50 minutes to close out the match.

All 14 SU players in uniform saw action in the match and freshman Rachel Roberts paced the Hornets in the win with a match-high six kills.

Seven other Shenandoah players registered at least one kill each and the Hornets hit a sizzling .611 in the victory.

WAC was held to a -.081 hitting percentage, committing 11 errors against eight kills in 37 attempts.

Freshman Jasmine Callahan was the only player to post double digits in any statistical category. She had 16 assists.

SU completes its regular season on Saturday with a non-league tri-match at Elizabethtown. The Hornets face Cabrini in addition to the host Blue Jays.
