WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Guilford College earned its third ODAC men's lacrosse victory of the season with a 19-6 win over host Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.

Shenandoah (5-9, 0-7 ODAC) scored two of the first three goals of the game, by Sean Ohlhaver and Matt Justice at 13:41 and 11:08, respectively, but Guilford (8-7, 3-5) had an answer.

The Quakers scored five straight from the 3:54 mark of the first until Justice tallied 66 seconds before halftime to take a lead they would not relinquish.

Coming out of the halftime locker room with 6-3 lead, GC erased all doubt by scoring the first seven goals of the second half.

Justice, off of a Nick Rondeau assist, finally snapped the run with a goal at 1:18.

Guilford then closed out the contest by scoring five of seven fourth quarter goals.

Justice paced the Hornets with four goals while Ohlhaver added two goals and an assist.

The Quakers had 14 different men register at least one point with Adam Fiore, Chase Clausen and Nick Mann all posting hat tricks.

GC outshot SU 49-28, had a 55-33 advantage in groundballs and won 18 of 28 faceoffs.

Hornet goalies Tyler Quinn and Brett Holmes combined for 17 saves.

SU hosts Washington and Lee on Wednesday at 7 in its penultimate game of the season.
