TOWSON, Md. – Host Goucher College used a pair of penalty kick goals in the first half Sunday to key a 4-0 non-league victory over Shenandoah.
Goucher (2-0) converted PKs in the 24th and 30th minutes to take a lead it would not relinquish over SU (0-2).
The Gophers added second half goals in the 59th and 89th minutes to provide the final margin.
Shenandoah keeper Rodrigo Casteriana had three saves before turning it over to James Dutcher in the second half.
Dutcher made one save and allowed the final goal.
GC outshot the Hornets 14-10 and had a slight, 7-5, advantage in corner kicks.
Tommy Scott had a team-high three shots for SU.
The Hornets host Catholic on Wednesday night at 7 in another non-league contest.
