PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Cairn University dealt Shenandoah University its third straight one-goal men's soccer defeat with a 1-0 home non-league victory Saturday afternoon.
Cairn (4-3) scored the only goal of the game in the 65th minute to down Shenandoah (0-8).
The game-winning goal was scored off of a free kick.
SU keeper Rodrigo Casteriana had two saves in the losing effort.
The Hornets outshot their hosts 8-7 while the Highlanders had an 8-2 advantage in corners.
Shenandoah is off until next Saturday when it travels to ODAC foe Hampden-Sydney for a 7 p.m. contest.
