OWINGS MILLS, Md. - No. 22 Stevenson University opened its volleyball tri-match with a 3-0 victory over Shenandoah Saturday morning.
The Mustangs (16-0) won at 14, 18 and 18 over the Hornets (6-7).
Stevenson hit .223 for the match, committing just 19 errors in 112 attempts, while also digging up 57 of Shenandoah's 91 attack attempts.
Sophomore Blake Parkes had six of the Hornets 15 kills in the contest with Taylor Anderson posting a team-high 10 digs.
Samantha Schambach had four kills, Rachel Gross three and Haley Smith two to round out the visitors total.
Shenandoah completes play Saturday against another 'SU' - Susquehanna University. That match is scheduled for a noon start.
