SALEM, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's soccer team extended its ODAC unbeaten streak to four games with a 1-0 double overtime win at Roanoke Saturday afternoon.
Senior Courtney Stull got the golden goal for the Hornets (5-4-1, 2-0-1 ODAC) with her tally 15 seconds into the second extra session.
Freshman Jennifer Nguyen set up Stull for the game winner.
Stull's shot was just the sixth of the game for SU and was the only shot taken in overtime by either team.
The Shenandoah defense was stout all day, holding Roanoke (2-6-1, 0-3) to seven shots with only two of those on frame.
Freshman goalkeeper Erin Septer made both of those saves to post her third consecutive shutout. She has not allowed a goal in the past 279:09 of game time.
The two teams split four corner kicks with each getting two corners in the first and second halves.
SU is on the road on Tuesday for a 7:00 ODAC contest at Eastern Mennonite.
