WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University volleyball team earned its third straight non-conference win with a 3-0 victory over Penn St. - Mont Alto Monday evening.
Playing on head coach Jaime Terenzi's birthday, the Hornets (13-8) swept the Lions at 13, 13 and 20 in the 61-minute match.
Senior Rachel Gross led SU to the win over PSU-Mont Alto (17-4) with 11 kills and seven digs.
The Hornets had 48 digs on the night with all 13 women who saw action in the match recording at least one.
Freshman libero Brandi Griffith led this effort with nine.
Allie Pieper backed up Gross offensively with nine kills.
Jasmine Callahan and Rachel Cerretani ran the offense at a .250 clip with 20 and 12 assists, respectively.
Shenandoah travels to Randolph-Macon on Friday for a 7 p.m. ODAC contest.
