HOLLINS, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team turned in a top five all-time performance Wednesday afternoon in an 11-0 ODAC victory over Hollins.
The 11 goals scored is the fifth best game total in program history for Shenandoah (7-9-1, 7-4 ODAC) and the most scored since the Hornets joined the ODAC prior to the 2012 season.
Sophomore Averi Rosena scored just 2:11 into the contest to give SU all of the offense it would need versus Hollins (0-14, 0-10).
The Hornets added first half goals in the third, 23rd, 31st, 33rd and 45th minutes to take a 6-0 lead into the halftime locker room.
Freshman Rebecca Angerome, who made one save in 22:18 of action in the goal, had a natural hat trick in a span of 7:53 midway through the second half.
Angerome was one of 11 women who registered at least one point in the victory.
SU outshot its hosts 59-2 and took all five corner kicks.
Sophomore Erin Septer, who played the initial 30:17 in the goal, matched Angerome with one save.
Nicole Pratt played the middle 37:25 and did not have to make a save.
Coach Liz Pike's team completes its regular season on Friday with a 5 p.m. home contest against Roanoke. A win will clinch fifth place in the regular season race for SU.
