CARLISLE, Pa. – Host Dickinson College used a strong offensive performance to key a 3-0 non-league field hockey victory over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
Dickinson (1-1) took 26 of the game's 33 shots, including 11 of 15 on goal, to take the win over the Hornets (0-1).
Alexandra Becker scored what proved to the game-winner in the 17th minute before the Red Devils scored in the 63rd and 65th minutes to provide the final margin of victory.
Freshman goalkeeper Jenna Rampale made eight saves for the Hornets in making her first college start.
DC also took 12 of the game's 15 corners.
Shenandoah opens its home slate on Wednesday at 4:00 in a non-league contest against Hood.
