WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University earned its first women's soccer victory of the season Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 ODAC shutout victory over Randolph.
Shenandoah (1-4-1, 1-0 ODAC) needed just 4:32 to provide all of the offense it would need against Randolph (2-3, 0-1).
Sophomore Jennifer Nguyen scored the first of her three goals of the game at that point to put the Hornets on top to stay.
Coach Liz Pike's club added goals in the 27th, 30th, 36th, 52nd, 65th, 75th, 79th and 81st minutes to complete the rout.
SU totally controlled the game, taking 40 of the game's 41 shots and all six corner kicks.
Seven different women registered at least one point with Nguyen leading the way on seven points via three goals and one assist.
Danielle Burris and Averi Rosena had two goals each.
Nicole Pratt, the second of three keepers to play in the contest, made the only save for the victors.
The Hornets are back in action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. home game against former USA South Conference rival Christopher Newport.
