WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University volleyball team celebrated its annual Dig Pink event by sweeping non-league matches versus Lancaster Bible and Mount Aloysius.
The Hornets (12-8) opened with a 3-0 win over Lancaster Bible before taking out Mount Aloysius by the same scorein the final match of the day.
SU outlasted LBC (10-10) 28-26 in the opening set before winning at 14 and 17 in the second and third, respectively.
Rachel Roberts paced coach Jaime Terenzi's club with a match-high 11 kills while senior Blake Parkes added nine and Elizabeth Lamont seven.
Jasmine Callahan had 14 assists and Rachel Cerretani 13 to fuel the offense.
Brandi Griffith had a match-high 16 digs.
The victory over Mount Aloysius (8-9) was even more efficient as the Hornets won at 10, 16 and 22 to complete the sweep.
Lamont had a match-high eight kills with Parkes and Roberts chipping in five each.
Cerretani had 16 of the squad's 26 assists.
Shenandoah takes to the road Wednesday for a 7 p.m. ODAC contest at Randolph-Macon.
