VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Host Virginia Wesleyan scored the first four games of the contest Monday evening on its way to a 4-1 ODAC men's soccer victory over Shenandoah.
The Marlins (5-3-2, 2-1-2 ODAC) scored in the 10th, 48th, 61st and 82nd minutes to pull away from Shenandoah (4-6-2, 1-3-2).
Ricky Perrault had a natural hat trick for VWC. He scored the game's first three goals.
Cody White tallied unassisted for the Hornets at 85:10.
Keegan Fairchild had five saves for SU in the first 76:56 of game time. Mike Skirkanich played the final 13:04.
VWC outshot the Hornets 14-11 and had a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Shenandoah took five of the game's nine shots in the first half.
The Hornets return home Friday evening for a 7 p.m. ODAC contest against Guilford.
