WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University volleyball team earned its second ODAC victory in as many days Saturday morning with a 3-0 sweep over Bridgewater.
The Hornets (14-9, 5-4 ODAC) won at 23, 13 and 18 over Bridgewater (7-14, 3-6).
The win puts SU in sole possession of fifth place in the league standings with two matches to play.
The first and third sets were back-and-forth affairs with the Hornets, on the strength of a .314 hitting performance, dominating the second.
SU, with 63 digs on the day, held the Eagles to just an .068 hitting percentage.
Elizabeth Lamont, Blake Parkes and Anna Gallup all had eight kills with Lamont adding 16 digs and Parkes 13.
Brandi Griffith and Jasmine Callahan also had double-digit digs – Griffith with 14 and Callahan 11.
Rachel Cerretani had a match-high 20 assists.
The squad plays a non-conference contest at Hood on Tuesday at 7.
