SALEM, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team earned its second ODAC shutout victory of the week with a 1-0 win Saturday afternoon at Roanoke.
Taylor Potter scored the lone goal of the game, tallying in the 40th minute off of a Danielle Burris assist, to give SU (5-6, 2-1 ODAC) over Roanoke (5-3-1, 2-2).
Potter took the cross from Burris and chipped her shot from just outside the 18-yard box over RC keeper Sarah Dvorak.
Hornets keeper Erin Septer made four saves in earning her second straight shutout. It is the 11th clean sheet of her career.
SU outshot the Maroons 11-8 and took six of the game's nine corners.
"It was a sloppy game out there today," Hornets coach Liz Pike said. "It was great to get this win on the road."
Shenandoah is back at home Tuesday night at 7 in an ODAC contest against Hollins.
