YORK, Pa. - Host York College of Pennsylvania scored three goals in a 10-minute span of the second half to key a 4-0 non-league field hockey victory over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans (3-2) scored in the 54th, 57th and 63rd minutes to pull away from Shenandoah (1-2).
YCP had taken the early lead on a Lindsey Nye goal at 17:59.
York outshot the Hornets 22-11 while SU held an 8-7 advantage in penalty corners.
Shenandoah goalkeeper Jessica Brown made 10 saves in the losing effort.
SU returns home on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. non-league contest versus Dickinson.
