WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Gettysburg College outlasted Shenandoah University in a 3-1 non-league volleyball victory Wednesday evening.
Gettysburg (6-5) won sets one and two at 21 before Shenandoah (5-4) rallied to win the third at 22.
The Bullets clinched the victory with a 25-20 triumph in the fourth.
GC hit .136 on the evening to the Hornets .014; SU had a match-high 42 kills against 40 errors in 144 attempts.
Sophomore Elizabeth Lamont had a match-high 11 kills for the hosts with Blake Parkes adding nine and both Kaitlyn Kelley and Rachel Roberts seven each.
Rachel Cerretani had 20 assists and Jasmine Callahan 18 to pace the Hornets offense.
Brandi Griffith paced a 62-dig defensive effort with 14 with Lamont and Parkes chipping in 10 apiece.
SU opens up ODAC play on Friday night at Lynchburg.
