DOVER, Del. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team earned its second straight victory thanks to a 1-0 non-league win at Wesley Thursday evening.
Freshman Rebecca Collimore scored unassisted in the 54th minute to push SU (2-5) past Wesley for the victory.
Collmore's tally, her team leading fourth of the season, was all of the offense that junior goalkeeper Erin Septer needed.
Septer had four saves in recording her second straight shutout and eighth of her career.
Shenandoah peppered the Wesley (2-2-2) goal with 37 shots, including 23 in the second half, but Wolverines keeper Chelsea Marriner made 16 saves to keep her side in it.
SU also had an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
"We walked away with a win tonight," head coach Liz Pike said. "We needed to take higher quality shots and do a better job in the attacking half of the field, but we got the win."
The Hornets are back in action on Saturday at 4 p.m. in a home non-league contest against Susquehanna.
