WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Roanoke College scored a pair of goals in each half on its way to a 4-0 ODAC men's soccer victory over Shenandoah Saturday night.
The Maroons (6-3, 2-0 ODAC) scored in the 27th and 37th minutes to pull away from SU (3-5, 0-2).
Junior Adam Yesbeck had what proved to be the game-winner, scoring off of a Tyler Carbaugh assist at 26:40.
The assist was one of two for Carbaugh on the evening. He set up Roanoke's second goal, scored by Orestis Llias, at 36:07.
Llias had his club's third goal, at 51:23, before Brandon Bauer scored unassisted at 71:40 to close the book on the night's scoring.
Roanoke outshot Shenandoah 11-3 and had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
SU goalkeepers Matthew Poell and Keegan Fairchild combined to make two saves.
The men continue this homestand on Wednesday night with a 7 p.m. ODAC contest against Bridgewater.
