BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Host Bridgewater College scored a pair of second half goals to down Shenandoah University 2-0 in ODAC men's soccer action Tuesday afternoon.
Bridgewater (8-5-2, 3-3 ODAC) got an Aaron McElhenny tally in the 51st minute to go along with a Jonathan Min goal 26 minutes later for the winning margin versus Shenandoah (0-14, 0-6).
Hornets goalkeeper Keegan Fairchild had five saves on the day, including an excellent diving stop midway through the first half.
BC outshot SU 18-7 and had a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The opening goal of the game was set up from a corner kick.
Shenandoah returns home on Friday for a 5 p.m. ODAC contest versus Lynchburg. Fairchild, along with classmates Francisco Nolasco, Eduardo Santiago and Philip Stewart, will be honored prior to the Senior Night contest.
