LYNCHBURG, Va. - Host Lynchburg College scored the initial two goals of the game on its way to a 3-2 ODAC field hockey victory over Shenandoah University Wednesday evening.

Lynchburg (7-6, 5-0 ODAC) scored in the 12th and 24th minutes to take a 2-0 lead over Shenandoah (8-7, 3-2).

SU battled back, cutting the deficit in half when Taylor Hayes converted a penalty stroke with 4:59 to play in the first.

The two teams went into the break at that score line with LC taking 11 of the 16 shots in the half.
