EMORY, Va. – Host Emory and Henry made a pair of first half goals the difference in a 4-2 ODAC men's soccer victory over Shenandoah Saturday evening.
The Wasps (8-4, 1-2 ODAC) scored in the 12th and 40th minutes to take a 2-0 lead over Shenandoah (0-11, 0-3).
In the second half, the two teams split four goals with E&H scoring in the 59th and 85th minutes and SU in the 60th and 86th.
Sam Natkin had the Hornets first goal, scoring off of Austin McCarron assist at 59:09 while Matt Sweeney finished off a Brian Maye feed at exactly 86:00.
The Hornets outshot their hosts 16-14 with the two teams splitting 12 shots on goal.
Keegan Fairchild had two saves for SU.
Shenandoah is back in action at home on Wednesday in a 4 p.m. ODAC contest versus Randolph-Macon.
