Men's Hoops Stumbles At Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The SU men's basketball team entered todays contest at Bridgewater searching for redemption, but fell short, 66-49.

The Hornets failed to find an answer for Eagles' bench ace, Logan Seacrist, who put up 35 points on the night. Efe Balfour added another 13 points for Bridgewater.

Shenandoah hung with Bridgewater all night. The opponents only held a, 26-20, edge at halftime. But in the second period, Seacrist found some magic, hitting four of his five three-point attempts and connecting on five of seven field goal attempts. The Eagles controlled the second half, leading by more than 10 points from the 11:48 mark until the final whistle.

But still, Shenandoah found contributions from its key players. Malcolm Clark led the way with 14 points, while Aaron Patterson added 12 off the bench. Antwan Pittman, who has been one of the focal points on Rob Pryor's offense all season, was held to just two points on the night.

The Hornets will look to end the regular season on a positive note when they travel to Emory and Henry on Saturday.
