WINCHESTER, Va. - The Hornets' men's lax team rode the momentum from last weekend and captured a commanding 11-5 win over Hood College on Saturday.

Hood (1-2) scored first, but Shenandoah (2-1) bounced back quickly with early goals from Stephen LaTona, Ryan Schott and Kyle Savage. The opponent added another tally midway through the first quarter, but the Hornets' explosive offense couldn't be silenced throughout the game.

Jeff Goss, Michael Brooks, Schott and LaTona all found the back of the net to give Shenandoah a 7-3 edge heading into the fourth quarter.

Hood couldn't find a way to overcome the deficit, and the Hornets' shooters only got hotter as the game went on, leading to the 11-5 victory.

LaTona led SU with three goals while Schott, Brooks and Goss all added two a piece.

Shenandoah will look to keep the winning streak alive when it travels to Arcadia on Wednesday.
