CARLISLE, Pa. – Host Dickinson College turned in a strong defensive effort Tuesday afternoon in a 4-0 non-league field hockey victory over Shenandoah.
The Red Devils (2-2) held SU (2-3) to just five shots on the day in posting the shutout victory over the Hornets.
Shenandoah had four of its five shots in the second half, including three on goal, but could not break the shutout.
Dickinson scored two goals in each half with the game-winner coming in the 12th minute.
Jessica Brown had six saves in the losing effort.
DC also had eight of the nine penalty corners awarded.
The Hornets continue this road trip on Saturday night at 7:30 with a non-league game at Stevenson.
