WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Bridgewater College earned its third ODAC men's soccer win of the season with a 4-1 victory over Shenandoah University Wednesday night on the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf.
The Eagles (6-7, 3-2 ODAC) scored in the 30th and 43rd minutes but had just a 2-1 halftime lead as Shenandoah (2-11-1, 0-4-1) tallied just before halftime.
Nick Seymour flicked a Ben Chisum pass past BC keeper Quentin Boric .2 seconds before the halftime buzzer, but this would be as close as the Hornets would come.
Bridgewater scored the only two goals of the second half, tallying in the 53rd and 61st minutes, to secure the three-goal win.
Shenandoah actually held a 19-12 advantage in shots and took nine of the game's 14 corners, but Boric had 10 saves to keep the hosts at bay.
Sam Fischer had one save for the Hornets.
Shenandoah continues this homestand with a Friday night ODAC contest versus Roanoke. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
