WINCHESTER, Va - The Shenandoah University volleyball team earned its second straight ODAC victory Friday night with a 3-0 Senior Night sweep over Hollins.
The Hornets (8-16, 2-7 ODAC) downed HU (6-17, 0-8) with wins at 11, 11, and 16.
SU seized total control of the contest with a 7-0 run early in the first set before a 10-2 run to start the second put coach Jaime Terenzi's on the path to the sweep. In the third, Shenandoah broke open an 8-8 contest with a 10-4 spurt.
The Hornets served up 14 aces with Caylin Harris being responsible for five of the night.
Emily Cheatwood led the victors with eight kills while Caylin Harris and senior Kaitlyn Kelley, who was honored prior to the contest, both chipped in seven each.
Freshman Madison Inzunza added six kills and four blocks with classmate Megan Hillyard posting 21 of the squad's 34 assists.
Libero Nicole Shannon led the defense with eight digs.
SU is back in action on Saturday morning with an 11 a.m. home contest versus Roanoke College.
