BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team completed its regular season Saturday with a 10-7 ODAC loss at Bridgewater.
Bridgewater (7-9, 3-6) scored five of the six first quarter goals to take it would not relinquish over the Hornets (9-5, 4-5).
Shenandoah recovered to split the eight second quarter goals with the Eagles and outscored BC 2-1 in the second half, but the whole proved too deep.
Senior Tilghman Sanders paced the Hornets with two goals and two assists while classmate Stephen LaTona and sophomore Ryan Schott both added two goals.
Andrew Shy, who won 10-of-21 faceoffs, had a goal and an assist.
SU outshot its hosts, 37-31, with Bridgewater winning 11 of the 21 faceoffs and having a slight, 31-30, edge in groundballs.
Ben Judy had eight of his 11 saves in the fourth quarter.
Shenandoah is tentatively scheduled to travel to Hampden-Sydney Tuesday to face the Tigers in the opening round of the ODAC Tournament. The official pairings will be announced later this evening.
