Dickinson Shuts Out Hockey

WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Dickinson College scored a pair of first half goals on its way to a 2-0 non-league field hockey victory over Shenandoah Tuesday evening.

Chelsea Kramer scored those two goals for the Red Devils (4-1) to push her squad past SU (3-2).

Kramer scored what proved to be the game-winner in the sixth minute with a backhanded rocket from 10-yards out.

In the 25th, she finished off an Amber Dey feed for the insurance goal.

The Hornets were able to generate more offense in the second half, taking four of its six shots and earning three more penalty corners, but could not cut into the Dickinson lead.

DC goalkeeper Freddie Bancroft made three of her four saves over the final 35-minutes to record the shutout.

The Red Devils had an 8-6 advantage in shots while SU took six of the game's 10 corners.

Hornets goalkeeper Jenna Rampale had two saves.

Shenandoah is back in action at home on Saturday in a 1 p.m. non-league game versus Stevenson.
