ASHLAND, Va. – Defending ODAC Champion Randolph-Macon opened up the 2017 ODAC volleyball slate Wednesday evening with a 3-0 sweep over Shenandoah.

The Yellow Jackets (7-3, 1-0 ODAC) won at 15, 12 and 12 to take out SU (4-5, 0-1).

Caylin Harris had a team-high six kills for the Hornets with Kaitlyn Kelley adding five and Michelle DiVito three.

Emily Veach and Megan Hillyard split 14 assists while Kelley and Nicole Shannon did the same with 26 digs.

Harris and Emily Cheatwood each had three total blocks with Cheatwood posting two blocks solo.

For R-MC, Miranda Hall and Rebecca McGilvery had nine kills each.

Shenandoah continues ODAC play with a Saturday road trip to Guilford College. Match time is noon.
