WAYNESBURG, Pa. – Host Waynesburg University scored the game's lone goal in the second half to down Shenandoah University 1-0 in non-league men's soccer action Monday evening.

Austin Zurik scored off a Tyler Sisler throw in from five yards out in the 77th minute to give the Yellow Jackets (2-4-2) the win over Shenandoah (2-7).

WU owned a 20-8 advantage in shots, including 7-3 on goal.

Hornets goalkeeper Sam Fischer had six saves.

Waynesburg also had a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Shenandoah completes this road trip on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. non-league game at Frostburg State.
