FROSTBURG, Md. – Host Frostburg State scored one goal in each half on its way to a 2-0 non-league men's soccer victory over Shenandoah Wednesday evening.
Mukor Harris scored in the 22nd minute to put the Bobcats (3-5-2) on top to stay versus Shenandoah (2-8).
Harris scored off of a Rodrigo Valenzuela assist on a corner kick.
FSU added an insurance goal in the 61st minute.
Frostburg controlled possession throughout, taking 11 of the game's 12 shots including all five that were on frame.
The Bobcats also had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Hornets goalkeeper Sam Fischer had three saves.
Shenandoah returns home on Saturday for a 6 p.m. ODAC contest versus Emory and Henry. This game is the final one in a Saturday tripleheader on the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf. Field hockey kicks off the day with a noon contest versus Mary Washington before the women's soccer team hosts Lynchburg at 3.
