Lynchburg Wins Hornets Field Hockey Battle

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Homestanding Lynchburg University scored three second half goals to key a 4-1 ODAC field hockey win Wednesday evening. 

In a match played at Liberty University Field Hockey Complex, Lynchburg (7-5, 3-0 ODAC) scored in the 59th, 61st and 64th minutes to pull away from SU (9-4, 2-2).

34:17 | Kelsey Jones scored off of a penalty corner attempt. Taylor Hayes received the ball at the top of the circle and she passed it off to her right for a Jones goal.

18:38 | Alex Redman finished off a loose ball after a penalty corner shot by Emma Strouse. Isabella Morande saved the first Lynchburg shot.

58:10 | Emily Dudley was able to score through the Shenandoah defense,  Nikki Simpao was credited with the assist.

60:43 | Kayla Copeman found Jackie Lerro for a Lynchburg goal

63:44 | Dudley and Simpao teamed up again to make the score 4-1
