ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Shenandoah University women's lacrosse team saw its four-game winning streak snapped Saturday with an 11-5 non-league loss at Lebanon Valley.
Continuing a pattern in which the home team is victorious in the series, LVC (4-3) expanded a 5-3 halftime lead into the six-goal victory by scoring six of the eight second half goals.
With Shenandoah cutting the deficit to just one, 5-4, following a Cassie Arndt to Abby Zorrilla goal 5:14 into the second half, the Flying Dutchwomen scored the game's next five goals to pull away.
Jordyn Miller scored on a free position shot with 7:06 to play, but the Hornets would get no closer.
Miller's goal was her second of the game. She had the squad's initial tally, tallying off of a Nikki Zerna assist at 24:06 of the first to tie the game at 1-1.
Alyson Bittinger had Shenandoah's remaining goal. She converted a free position shot at 4:27 of the first.
SU outshot LVC 29-20 and had a 16-13 edge in groundballs. The two teams split 18 draw controls.
Shenandoah is back in action at home Wednesday afternoon versus Marymount.
