Women's Soccer Routs Vixens

Defeat Sweet Briar, 8-1

SWEET BRIAR, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team defeated Sweet Briar 8-1 in an ODAC contest Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets (10-5, 5-2 ODAC) scored eight straight before conceding a Vixens (0-12-1, 0-6) penalty kick goal in the 86th minute. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

SU 24' | Brittany Bessette got the goals rolling for SU scoring an unassisted goal in the 24th minute. 
SU 30' | Freshman Sara Sonnak sent a cross in for Emily Yergin to put the Hornets up 2-0. 
SU 39' | Yergin picked up her second of the day on an unassisted goal. 
SU 55' | Maiya Pencile scored an unassisted goal.
SU 60' | Pencile found Abby Alexa in the 60th minute 
SU 61' | Alison Spaziani found Kristen Fisher for the Hornets sixth goal of the game. 
SU 76' | Bessette scored an unassisted goal, her second of the game.
SU 85' | Fisher scored an unassisted goal, her second of the game.
SB 86' | Lacey Tucker scored off a penalty kick
