Tigers Fend Off Men's Soccer

Drop 1-0 Decision in Non-League Match

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's soccer team fell 1-0 at Hampden-Sydney College Wednesday night in a non-league contest. 

The Tigers (6-5, 1-0 ODAC) tallied the only goal in during the 62nd minute to defeat the Hornets (4-6, 0-1).

HOW IT HAPPENED

HSC 61:45 | Spell Carr found teammate Jacob Mann for the only goal of the contest.

MATCH NOTES

  • Tonight's match is considered a non-league contest due to the new men's soccer unbalanced scheduling. All teams play eight league games and tonight's contest does not count in the league table. 

  • Michael Romeo made three saves on the night.

  • Hector Colon had a team-high two shots, both of which were on goal.

  • H-SC outshot SU 16-6.

  • H-SC was awarded 15 corners compared to SU's two.
