WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's soccer team dropped its second ODAC match of the season with a 2-1 overtime loss to Ferrum College Saturday afternoon.
The Hornets (4-7, 0-2 ODAC) brought the game back to level with a Jack Meixner goal off of a free kick at 55:24, but Ferrum (7-3, 1-1) had the answer.
IN BRIEF
Playing a man-down as a result of two yellows assessed to Gerald Bonsu (the second of which led to the Meizner's free kick), the Panthers rallied to get a Juho Karmala tally 7:26 into the initial sudden victory stanza.
Karmala received a cross right in front of SU keeper Michael Romeo, and after beating a defender on his trap, ripped the ball into the top left corner for the game-winner.
The goal capped a game in which Shenandoah held possession for 60 percent of the game with 56 percent of that possession coming in the Ferrum defensive half.
