LEXINGTON, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's soccer team completed its 2019 regular season Wednesday afternoon with a 2-1 loss at ODAC rival No. 17 Washington & Lee.

The Generals (15-0-2, 8-0-1 ODAC) scored the opening two goals and then had to hold on as Shenandoah (11-7, 6-4) had a second half answer.

Abby Alexa tallied that goal for SU in the 61
st minute, scoring unassisted to cut the W&L lead in half.

The Hornets had two more shot attempts following Alexa's goal in which to tie the game, but Alexa's shot in the 71
st minute was stopped and
Emily Yergin's attempt in the 81
st was wide.

With the Hornets ODAC Tournament berth assured, the team will wait until Saturday night to find out its quarterfinal round opponent.
