WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's basketball team earned its first win of the 2019-20 season Friday night with a 63-59 non-league victory over Southern Virginia.

The Hornets (1-2) scored five of the final six points of the night to pull away from Southern Virginia (1-1).

Sierra St. Cyr, who had a career-high 24 points, had all five of those points during that closing run as she made 5 of 6 from the line.

St. Cyr led in this category as well, pulling down nine rebounds with six coming on the defensive end of the floor.
