Men's Lax Roars Past Lions

WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team earned its second straight win of the season with a 12-5 non-league home victory over Albright College Wednesday afternoon.

Shenandoah (2-1) scored eight straight goals bridging halftime to break open a close game over the Lions (0-3).

IN BRIEF

Shenandoah led wire-to-wire, but found itself in a 3-2 contest after Albright scored the first two goals of the second quarter.

The second goal, at 10:26, would be the Lions last tally until they scored with 53 seconds remaining in the third.

Between those two goals, SU scored eight times with Chris Baker and Devon Weaver tallying two times each and Ryan Schott adding a goal and an assist.

The eight-goal run expanded the Hornets lead from 3-2 to 11-2 and effectively sealed the win.
