DANVILLE, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team won its third straight in a 19-1 non-league win at Averett University on Saturday afternoon.
Shenandoah (3-1) ran away with the game by scoring 11 consecutive goals to open up the contest before Averett (0-3) was able to slip one past the Hornets 30 seconds before halftime.
IN BRIEF
Chris Baker found Michael Brooks for a goal just 2:14 into the game to put SU on top to stay.
Ryan Schott tallied early and often, recording five points in the first quarter alone. He had a hat trick and dished out two assists to Mitchell Fleming and Chris Baker.
The Hornets had 15 men record points including five scoring multiple goals. Brooks and Chris Baker also had hat tricks of their own.
Freshman Brock DiMauro dished out his first three assists of his career.
