GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse opened up its ODAC slate Saturday with an 18-8 road victory at Guilford.
Shenandoah (5-1, 1-0 ODAC) extended its winning streak to five games with the program's second-ever win over the Quakers (3-2, 0-1).
IN BRIEF
SU led for all but 2:34 of the game after Michael Brooks tallied the first of his four goals of the contest at 12:26 of the first.
Following a GC tally, Chris Baker scored back-to-back goals with Brooks adding another to put the visitors on top 4-1 with 4:59 to play in the first.
Brooks ended up with a hat-trick in the first quarter alone to give the Hornets the 5-3 lead after one.
Brooks connected with Kyle Morien to start the third quarter giving SU the 9-5 lead. Morien's goal would prove to be the game-winner.
Shenandoah extended the lead in the final stanza with a five-goal run to conclude the contest.
