LYNCHBURG, Va. - Randolph College dropped a total of just six games on its way to a 5-0 ODAC women's tennis victory over Shenandoah University Friday afternoon.
Playing indoors at CrossWhite Tennis Club in Lynchburg, Randolph (11-7, 9-3 ODAC) swept the three doubles matches before dropping just two games in winning the top two singles matches over the Hornets (4-8, 2-7).
IN BRIEF
Because the two teams were playing a men/women doubleheader indoors on four courts, the match was halted when the result was determined. As a result, the No. 3 singles match was abandoned in the middle of the first set and Nos. 4 through 6 never took the court.
Madison Rogers had the closest singles match, falling 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. She and Emma Crue dropped an 8-3 decision at No. 2 doubles.
UP NEXT
The Hornets are back in action on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. ODAC contest at Bridgewater.
