Bridgewater Tops Women's Tennis

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Host Bridgewater College won the initial four matches of the day on its way to a 7-2 ODAC women's tennis victory over Shenandoah. 

Bridgewater (8-7, 5-5 ODAC) took a 3-0 lead after doubles and then won at love at No. 5 singles to put itself one win from clinching versus Shenandoah (4-9, 2-8).

IN BRIEF

Megan Hillyard held off the Eagles by winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 before BC clinched with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles.

Following Bridgewater wins at Nos. 1 and 3, Madison Hoilman was a 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6) victor at No. 6.
