GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Shenandoah University baseball team completed a season sweep over Messiah College Wednesday afternoon with an 11-8 non-league victory over the Falcons.
Shenandoah (22-11) gave up a combined eight runs in the second and third innings before coming back with one run in the fifth, three in the eighth and one more in the ninth.

SU led 6-0 after scoring three runs each in the first and second, but saw the Falcons (13-22) score five runs in the bottom of the second and three more in the third to take an 8-6 lead.
Tristan Baker put the Hornets on top to stay with a bases loaded sacrifice fly to right center.
Following a walk to Keegan Woolford, Luke Nussman drew a bases loaded walk to increase the SU lead to two runs.
In the ninth, Baker earned an RBI the hard way by being hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded.
Senior Brandon McKenzie, who had come on in the eighth, got two quick outs in the ninth before working around a two-out triple by inducing a flyout to center.
The save is McKenzie's first.
Luke Radazewski got the win with 4.0 innings of scoreless relief. He struck out three and walked three.
Woolford finished his day 4-for-5 with a double, a home run and three RBI. The junior now has 10 home runs on the season.
Grant Thompson had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and Henry Delavergne had two hits.

The Hornets next scheduled contest is Saturday at 1 p.m. versus Guilford. Shenandoah was supposed to play at Hood Thursday, but that game was cancelled by the Blazers earlier Wednesday.
