Wasps Sweep Women's Tennis

EMORY, Va. - Host Emory and Henry swept the Shenandoah University women in ODAC tennis action Saturday morning.

The Wasps (9-4, 2-4 ODAC) led 3-0 after doubles thanks to 8-5, 8-2 and 8-0 victories over Shenandoah (3-4, 1-3).

IN BRIEF

After E&H clinched the win with straight set victories at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, Madison Hansen had the closest match of the day for Shenandoah with 6-2, 2-6, 0-1 (6-10) loss at No. 1 singles.

The remaining three singles matches went in straight sets with the Wasps dropping just three games.

Shenandoah returns home Sunday for a 1 p.m. ODAC match versus Hollins.
