WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Bridgewater College kept its perfect volleyball season intact Wednesday evening with a 3-0 win over Shenandoah in the ODAC opener for both schools.
 
Bridgewater (8-0, 1-0 ODAC) held on through a close first set to win, 25-22, over the Hornets (2-6, 0-1) and then took sets two and three by identical 25-14 scores.

The opening set featured six ties and three lead changes before the Eagles scored the final three points in the 25-22 win.
 
BC would not trail again in the match as SU struggled with negative hitting percentages in both the second and third sets. The Hornets hit -.075 (24-32-107) for the match.
 
Senior Emily Cheatwood led the hosts with six kills with Kieran Turner and Cassie Didinger both contributing four each.
 
Brooke Wagner had 12 assists and Megan Hillyard 10.
 
Defensively, Kate Poppo had 11 digs and Niki Balestri 10.
